Why I hate supermarket parking lots
The most inconsiderate and lazy people are found in supermarket parking lots. Is it asking too much to return your shopping carts to the designated areas without leaving them so haphazardly? Especially, when they're left blocking spaces marked for the disabled!
Why I hate New York Yankee fans
A strange phenomenon we noticed during the baseball season was the sudden influx of Americans when the Yankees played a weekend series here. While the tourism industry benefited, the sheer number of New York fans seemed more like an invasion force bent on avenging their losses from the War of 1812.
Why I hate Toronto Blue Jays' fans
During the World Series years, Jays' fans packed the stadium to capacity, setting attendance records in the process. Today, we're lucky if thirty thousand people show up. Our bandwagon-jumping fans are so complacent, they have to be told when to cheer and get excited.
The NHL lockout
While I naturally sided with the players, I'd like to thank the NHL for inadvertently exposing us to the world of Poker. We didn't miss hockey at all, which is a sad indictment for the sport and its management.
The expression, "You won't miss something until it's gone," was never more true than during the public broadcaster's lockout. Without the CBC, I'm lost, uninformed and simply unable to turn anywhere else for news. The other networks are too business-driven and full of generic American content that lack any intellectual or serious punch. Watching football games sans commentary was so unique, it unwittingly proved to be a ratings success.

The lack of Web Design content in this space
After my association with a group of web designers ended in the Spring, my interest in community issues waned considerably. The time spent cavorting with them was rewarding, but all good things must end. This site will continue to maintain its three pages of software and web design resources, although updates will be less frequent.
